How It Works

We print custom envelopes in all standard business sizes—#10 (letter), #9 (reply), 6x9, 9x12, and more. Choose window envelopes for invoices and statements (the address shows through, saving time), or non-window for formal correspondence. Printing options range from simple one-color corner cards to full-color designs that cover the entire envelope. We can add your logo, return address, and any required compliance text. Self-seal adhesive strips are available for high-volume mailings. Envelopes are printed flat, then converted (folded and glued) to final form.

Why Choose MCI

Envelopes are the first thing recipients see—they set expectations before your letter is even opened. We've printed envelopes for St. Louis businesses for over 40 years, matching them perfectly to letterhead and brand guidelines. Our envelope stocks coordinate with our letterhead papers, ensuring your stationery system looks cohesive. For high-volume mailers, we optimize for postal requirements and automated inserting equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What envelope sizes do you print?
#10 (4.125" x 9.5") is the standard business envelope. #9 fits inside #10 for reply mail. 6x9 holds half-folded letters. 9x12 and 10x13 fit unfolded documents. We also print A2, A6, A7 for invitations and announcements. Custom sizes are available for special applications.
What is a window envelope?
Window envelopes have a clear or glassine panel that shows the recipient address printed on the enclosed document—commonly used for invoices, statements, and checks. This eliminates addressing the envelope separately, saving time and reducing errors.
Can envelopes be full color?
Yes. While most business envelopes use one or two-color printing for economy, we can print full-color designs that cover the entire envelope. Full-color envelopes stand out in the mail but cost more than traditional corner-card printing.
Do you offer self-seal envelopes?
Yes. Self-seal (peel-and-stick) envelopes have adhesive strips covered by release paper—just peel and press to seal. They're faster than lick-seal and work well with automated inserting equipment. Available on most envelope styles.
